I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Ride it in a fitting manner when you are compelled to do so, until you find another mount."
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير سألت جابر بن عبد الله
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول اركبها بالمعروف إذا ألجئت إليها حتى تجد ظهرا
Muslim narrated it in the Hajj chapter, "The Permissibility of Riding the Sacrificial Camel Gifted [to the Kaaba] for One Who Needs It," hadith no. 1324, from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed Qattan through this same chain, and it is also found in Musnad Ahmad, 3173.
