Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hajj, Chapter on Marking the Sacrificial Animals, hadith no. 1699, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hajj, Chapter on the Recommendation of Sending the Sacrificial Animal to the Sacred Precinct for One Who Does Not Wish to Go There Himself, and so on, hadith no. 1321, from the hadith of Aflah bin Humayd, through this same route.
