It rained on them on the day of Eid, so the Prophet ﷺ led them in the Eid prayer inside the mosque.
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا الوليد ح و حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا رجل من القرويين وسماه الربيع في حديثه عيسى بن عبد الأعلى بن أبي فروة سمع أبا يحيى عبيد الله التيمي يحدث
أنه أصابهم مطر في يوم عيد فصلى بهم النبي ﷺ صلاة العيد في المسجد
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah reported it in "Establishment of Prayers," chapter on what has been said about praying the Eid prayer in the masjid when it is rainy, hadith 1313, from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim, with this chain.Isa bin Abdul-Ala is majhul (unknown), as stated in Taqrib, and Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Mawhab is mastur (of unverified reliability).Bayhaqi reported it, 3/310, with a strong chain, from Umar's own statement, that the Eid prayer should be in the masjid. He said, "If it is rainy like this, then the masjid is more suitable."
