The Prophet ﷺ was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments, with no shirt or turban among them.People mentioned to Ayesha what others were saying, that he had been shrouded in two garments and a striped Yemeni cloak. She replied, "The striped cloak was brought, but they returned it and did not shroud him in it."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
كفن النبي ﷺ في ثلاثة أثواب بيض يمانية ليس فيها قميص ولا عمامة قال فذكروا لعائشة قولهم في ثوبين وبرد حبرة فقالت قد أتي بالبرد ولكنهم ردوه ولم يكفنوه فيه
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Muslim also reported it in the Book of Funerals, chapter on the shroud of the deceased, hadith no. 941, from the hadith of Hafs bin Ghiyath, and Bukhari, hadith no. 1264, from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa, with the same chain.
