One of the daughters of the Prophet ﷺ passed away, so he said, "Wash her an odd number of times, three, or five, or more than that if you see fit. Wash her with water and lote leaves, and put camphor, or a little camphor, in the final wash. When you are finished, let me know."When we finished, we informed him, and he handed us his waist-wrapper and said, "Shroud her next to her body with this."Hushaym said, in a narration other than from these, and I am not sure, perhaps Hisham was among them, she said, "And we braided her hair into three plaits."Hushaym said, I think she said, "We placed them behind her."Hushaym said, Khalid then narrated to us, distinct from the rest of the group, from Hafsa and Muhammad, from Umm Atiya, who said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, 'Begin with her right side and the places of ablution.'"
