The Prophet ﷺ kissed Uthman bin Mazun after he had died, weeping, or, as the narrator said, with tears flowing from his eyes.
Its isnad is daif. It was also related by Abu Dawud, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on kissing the deceased, no. 3163, and Ibn Majah, no. 1456, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri with the same wording. Asim bin Ubaydullah is daif. Part of the hadith has corroborating narrations found in Bazzar and Mukhtasar Zawaid Bazzar, no. 549, and in Abu Naeem's Hilyah, 1/105, and elsewhere. On this subject there are also narrations from Ibn Abbas [Bukhari, no. 5709–5711], Jabir [Bukhari, also], and Ayesha [Tayalisi].
