ما أغبط أحدا بهون موت بعد الذي رأيت من شدة موت رسول الله ﷺ قال سألت أبا زرعة عن هذا الحديث وقلت له من عبد الرحمن بن العلاء فقال هو العلاء بن اللجلاج وإنما عرفه من هذا الوجه

Sourcing, hasan. Mizzi narrated it in Tahzib Kamal (14/503) from the hadith of Ala bin Lajlaj, through his chain, which is daif, but it has supporting narrations in Bukhari, no. 5646, and Muslim, no. 2570, and others.
