The Prophet ﷺ was asked about wiping over leather socks. He said, "For the traveler, three days, and for the resident, one day."It was mentioned that Yahya bin Maeen authenticated the hadith of Khuzayma bin Thabit concerning wiping. Abu Abdullah Jadali's name is Abd bin Abd, and it is also said to be Abdul-Rahman bin Abd.

[Sahih] Abu Dawud also reported it in the Book of Purification, Chapter on the Time Limit for Wiping, no. 157, through the hadith of Ibrahim Taymi with this wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 181, along with others.
