Jareer bin Abdullah relieved himself, then performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. Someone said to him, "Do you do this?"He replied, "What would prevent me, when I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it?"Ibrahim said, "They used to find Jareer's hadith pleasing because his acceptance of Islam came after the revelation of Surah al-Maidah." This was Ibrahim's statement, meaning that they used to find it pleasing.
