When the Prophet ﷺ would throw the pebbles at the Jamarat, he would walk to them and walk back.
حدثنا يوسف بن عيسى حدثنا ابن نمير عن عبيد الله عن نافع
أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا رمى الجمار مشى إليها ذاهبا وراجعا
[Sahih] Abu Dawud also narrated it in the Book of Rites, chapter on stoning the pillars, no. 1969, from the hadith of Abdullah al-Umari, and its chain is hasan.
