The Prophet ﷺ quickened his pace in the valley of Muhassir. Bishr added in his narration, "He proceeded from Jam with tranquility, and he commanded them to maintain tranquility."Abu Naeem added in his narration that he commanded them to throw pebbles the size of those used in the khadhf game, and he said to Ali, "I do not think I will see you after this year of mine."
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا وكيع وبشر بن السري وأبو نعيم قالوا حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أبي الزبير
أن النبي ﷺ أوضع في وادي محسر وزاد فيه بشر وأفاض من جمع وعليه السكينة وأمرهم بالسكينة وزاد فيه أبو نعيم وأمرهم أن يرموا بمثل حصى الخذف وقال لعلي لا أراكم بعد عامي هذا
[Sahih] In all the manuscripts it is Sufyan bin Uyayna, but the correct attribution is Thawri, as in Musnad Ahmad 3/391 and elsewhere, and the hadith has corroborating narrations On this topic there is also a narration from Usama bin Zayd [Bukhari, no. 1666, and Muslim, no. 1286].
