The Prophet ﷺ asked me, "What is in your water-skin?"I replied, "Nabidh."He said, "A wholesome date and pure water." Then he performed ablution with it.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا شريك عن أبي فزارة عن أبي زيد
سألني النبي ﷺ ما في إداوتك فقلت نبيذ فقال تمرة طيبة وماء طهور قال فتوضأ منه
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud also reported it in the Book of Purification, chapter on wudu with nabidh, hadith no. 84, from Hannad bin Sari, through the same route. Ibn Hibban, Tahawi, Ibn Hajar, and all the scholars of hadith have declared it daif. Abu Zayd is unknown.
