Someone asked whether a man should raise his hands upon seeing the Kaaba. He replied, "We performed the pilgrimage with the Prophet ﷺ and we used to do so."
[Daif]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Rituals (Manasik), the chapter on raising the hand when seeing the House, no. 1870, and Nasai, 5/212, no. 2898, from the hadith of Shubah with this chain, and Ibn Khuzayma declared it sahih, no. 2704, 2705.Muhajir Makki was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban and Ibn Khuzayma, while Abu Hatim said he was not well known. Thawri, Ibn Mubarak, Ahmad, Ishaq, and others graded the hadith daif, because in their view Muhajir was unknown. And Allah knows best.
