A man asked, "From where should we enter the state of ihram, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "The people of Madinah enter ihram from Dhul Hulayfah, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn."The narrator said, "And they say, the people of Yemen from Yalamlam."
حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم عن أيوب عن نافع
أن رجلا قال من أين نهل يا رسول الله قال يهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة وأهل الشام من الجحفة وأهل نجد من قرن قال ويقولون وأهل اليمن من يلملم
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in Book of Rites of Hajj, chapter on the appointed times, no. 1740, from the hadith of Waki with the same wording. Yazid bin Abu Ziyad alone transmitted it, as Bayhaqi stated in Marifah 3/533, and he is daif.
