[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Nasai also narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on the fasting of the Prophet ﷺ, by my father and mother, and so on, hadith no. 2363, from Amr bin Ali through him, and the hadith has corroborating narrations. On this subject there are also narrations from Hafsa [Abu Dawud, no. 2451], Abu Qatada [Muslim, no. 1162], Abu Hurairah [coming up, no. 747], and Usama bin Zayd [Nasai, no. 2360].
