Its isnad is hasan. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Zakat, Chapter on the Zakat of Grazing Animals, no. 1585, from Qutayba with the same wording, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 2335.There are also narrations on this subject from Ibn Umar [Hakim in al-Mustadrak, 1/399], Umm Salama [Hakim, 1/405, and Bayhaqi, 4/137], and Abu Hurairah [Bayhaqi, 4/115].
