The Prophet ﷺ addressed the people and said, "Whoever becomes the guardian of an orphan who possesses wealth should invest it in trade and not leave it idle until it is consumed by zakat."

Grading, its chain of transmission is daif.Bayhaqi (4/107) reported it from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim, and he explicitly stated that he heard it directly. Muthanna is daif. It was also narrated by Mindal, who is daif, from Abu Ishaq Shaybani, from Amr bin Shuayb, with the same wording. There are several daif paths for this hadith.Bayhaqi also reported from Umar that he said, "Seek gains in the wealth of orphans so that charity does not consume it," and he said, this chain of transmission is sahih.
