Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Bukhari narrated it in "Ghusl," chapter on ghusl with a saa or similar, hadith no. 253, as a suspended report, and Muslim narrated it in "Hayd," chapter on the recommended amount of water for ghusl from janaba, etc., hadith no. 47/322, from the hadith of Ibn Uyayna, with this wording.There are also reports on this subject from Ali [Ibn Majah, no. 375, and Ahmad, 1/177], Ayesha [Bukhari, no. 250, and Muslim, no. 319], Anas [Bukhari, no. 264, with its basic wording found in Muslim, no. 325], Umm Hani [Ibn Majah, no. 378], Umm Subayya al-Juhaniyya [Abu Dawud, no. 78, and Ibn Majah, no. 382], Umm Salama [Bukhari, no. 322, and Muslim, no. 296], and Ibn Umar [Bukhari, no. 193].
