The Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved to begin with the right side when purifying himself, when combing his hair, and when putting on his sandals.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أشعث بن أبي الشعثاء عن أبيه عن مسروق
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يحب التيمن في طهوره إذا تطهر وفي ترجله إذا ترجل وفي انتعاله إذا انتعل
Agreed upon. Muslim reported it, in the chapter on purification, on preferring the right side in purification and other matters, hadith 268, from the hadith of Abu Ahwas, and Bukhari, hadith 168, from the hadith of Ashath bin Salim bin Aswad, with the same chain.
