Ibn Majah also narrated it in the chapter "Iqamat al-Salawat," in the section on going out on Eid day by one route and returning by another, no. 1301, from the hadith of Fulayh, with the same wording. Bukhari cited it as a suspended chain, no. 986. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Al-Ihsan: 2804), as did Ibn Khuzayma, no. 1468, and Hakim, 1/296, and Dhahabi said it meets the conditions of the two Shaykhs. It has another route in Bukhari, which he preferred over this one, and both routes are preserved and sound. The hadith of Abu Tumayla is found in Bukhari, no. 986.
