It is from the Sunnah that you go out to the Eid prayer on foot and that you eat something before you go out.

[Daif]Ibn Majah also recorded it in "Establishing the Prayers," the chapter on going out to the Eid prayer on foot, hadith no. 1296, from the hadith of Abu Ishaq, and its chain is very daif. The hadith has daif corroborating narrations in Ibn Majah (1294, 1295, 1297) and elsewhere.
