He was delivering a sermon and raised his hands in supplication. Umarah said, "May Allah disfigure these two short hands! I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would do no more than this," and Hushaym pointed with his index finger.

يخطب فرفع يديه في الدعاء فقال عمارة قبح الله هاتين اليديتين القصيرتين لقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ وما يزيد على أن يقول هكذا وأشار هشيم بالسبابة

[Its isnad is sahih] Muslim narrated it in the Book of Jumuah, Chapter on Shortening the Prayer and the Sermon, hadith no. 874, from the hadith of Husayn, in a similar manner.
