The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever says to his companion on Friday while the imam is delivering the sermon, 'Be quiet,' has himself spoken idly."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا الليث عن عقيل عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
أن النبي ﷺ قال من قال يوم الجمعة والإمام يخطب أنصت فقد لغا
Agreed upon. Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Jumuah, chapter on remaining silent on Friday during the sermon, no. 851, from Qutayba, and Bukhari, no. 934, from the hadith of Layth, with the same wording.On this subject, there is also a report from Ibn Abu Awfa [Ibn Abu Shayba 1:459, no. 5307, and its chain is hasan mawquf] and from Jabir bin Abdullah [Abd bin Humayd, no. 1142, and Ibn Hibban, no. 577, and Abu Yaala 3:335, nos. 1799, 1800].
