The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution well, then comes to the Friday prayer and sits close, listens attentively, and remains silent, will have his sins forgiven from that Friday until the next, plus three additional days. And whoever touches the pebbles has engaged in idle conduct."
حدثنا هناد قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء ثم أتى الجمعة فدنا واستمع وأنصت غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة وزيادة ثلاثة أيام ومن مس الحصى فقد لغا
Muslim also reported it in the Book of Jumuah, the chapter on the virtue of one who listens attentively and remains silent during the sermon, hadith no. 857, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya Dareer, transmitted through him.
