Aisha was asked about the witr prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she replied, "He performed witr at every part of the night. He prayed it in the early portion, the middle portion, and the latter portion. By the end of his life, his witr settled in the time before dawn."

عن وتر رسول الله ﷺ فقالت من كل الليل قد أوتر أوله وأوسطه وآخره فانتهى وتره حين مات إلى السحر
Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, Chapter on Night Prayer and the Number of Units the Prophet Performed at Night, etc., hadith no. 745, from the hadith of Abu Husayn, and Bukhari, hadith no. 996, from the hadith of Masruq, through him.On this subject there are also narrations from Ali [Ibn Majah, hadith no. 1186], Jabir [mentioned earlier under hadith no. 455], Abu Masud Ansari [Ahmad 4/119], and Abu Qatada [Abu Dawud, hadith no. 1434].
