"Father, you prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr and Umar, Uthman, and Ali bin Abu Talib here in Kufa for nearly five years. Did they recite the qunut?"He replied, "My son, it is an innovation."
حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا يزيد بن هارون
يا أبة إنك قد صليت خلف رسول الله ﷺ وأبي بكر وعمر وعثمان وعلي بن أبي طالب ها هنا بالكوفة نحوا من خمس سنين أكانوا يقنتون قال أي بني محدث
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Ibn Majah also narrated it in "Establishing the Prayers," chapter on what has been said regarding qunut in the Fajr prayer, hadith no. 1241, from the hadith of Yazid bin Harun, through the same route.
