The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, You made the first of Quraysh taste punishment, so let the last of them taste reward."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا أبو يحيى الحماني عن الأعمش عن طارق بن عبد الرحمن عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم أذقت أول قريش نكالا فأذق آخرهم نوالا قال
[Hasan]. Muhammad bin Aasim also reported it in his Juz, no. 31, from Abu Yahya Himani, and Ahmad, 1/242, from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed Umawi, from Amash, with the same chain, using "an" wording. Diya mentioned it in al-Mukhtarah, 10/188, 189, no. 189-191. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Abu Shayba, 12/172, and Qudai in Musnad Shihab, 2/341, no. 1488, and others.
