The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Ansar are my inner circle and my trusted confidants. People will increase in number while the Ansar will decrease, so accept from those among them who do good and overlook the faults of those who err."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت قتادة يحدث
قال رسول الله ﷺ الأنصار كرشي وعيبتي وإن الناس سيكثرون ويقلون فاقبلوا من محسنهم وتجاوزوا عن مسيئهم
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Ansar, chapter of the statement of the Prophet ﷺ, "Accept the good deeds of the righteous among them and overlook the wrongdoing of the wrongdoers among them," hadith no. 3801, and Muslim, hadith no. 2510, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with this wording.
