He wrote to him offering condolences for those of his family and cousins who were killed on the Day of Harrah. He wrote to him, "I bring you good news from Allah. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'O Allah, forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the children of their children.'"
