Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the killing of the two black ones during prayer, the snake and the scorpion.

[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in Al-Salah, chapter on actions during prayer, no. 921, from the hadith of Ali bin Mubarak with this wording, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 869, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 528, and Hakim, 1/256, and Dhahabi.Yahya bin Abu Kathir explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as recorded by Ahmad, 2/473.
