Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ammar was never given a choice between two matters without choosing the more rightly guided of them."Tirmidhi said, this is a good but rare hadith. We know it only through this route, from the narration of Abdul-Aziz bin Siyah, who was a Kufan teacher from whom people have narrated. He had a son called Yazid bin Abdul-Aziz, who was trustworthy, and Yahya bin Adam narrated from him.Mahmud bin Ghaylan told us, Waki told us, Sufyan told us, from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, from a freed slave of Rubai, from Rabi bin Harash, from Hudhayfah, who said, "We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he said, 'I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow the two who come after me,' and he pointed to Abu Bakr and Umar. 'Take guidance from the guidance of Ammar, and whatever Ibn Masud tells you, accept it as true.'"This is a good hadith. Ibrahim bin Saad also narrated this hadith from Sufyan Thawri, from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, from Hilal, the freed slave of Rubai, from Rubai, from Hudhayfah, from the Prophet ﷺ, in similar terms. Salim Muradi Kufi likewise narrated from Amr bin Haram, from Rabi bin Harash, from Hudhayfah, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar to this.

قال رسول الله ﷺ ما خير عمار بين أمرين إلا اختار أرشدهما قال هذا حديث حسن غريب لا نعرفه إلا من هذا الوجه من حديث عبد العزيز بن سياه وهو شيخ كوفي وقد روى عنه الناس له ابن يقال له يزيد بن عبد العزيز ثقة روى عنه يحيى بن آدم حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن مولى لربعي عن ربعي بن حراش عن حذيفة قال كنا جلوسا عند النبي ﷺ فقال إني لا أدري ما قدر بقائي فيكم فاقتدوا باللذين من بعدي وأشار إلى أبي بكر وعمر واهتدوا بهدي عمار وما حدثكم ابن مسعود فصدقوه هذا حديث حسن وروى إبراهيم بن سعد هذا الحديث عن سفيان الثوري عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن هلال مولى ربعي عن ربعي عن حذيفة عن النبي ﷺ نحوه وقد روى سالم المرادي الكوفي عن عمرو بن هرم عن ربعي بن حراش عن حذيفة عن النبي ﷺ نحو هذا
