Ali bin Abu Talib reported,
Ammar came seeking permission to enter upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Let him in. Welcome to the good and purified one."He said, this is a hasan sahih hadith.

[Hasan] Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Introduction, chapter on the merit of Ammar bin Yasir, no. 146, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, through the same chain. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Al-Ihsan) 7034, as did Hakim 3/388, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Shubah also narrated it from Abu Ishaq, through the same chain, as found in Ahmad and others.
