Abu Hurairah reported,
No one who ever wore sandals or strapped them on, who ever mounted a riding beast or sat upon a saddle after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was more virtuous than Jafar bin Ubayy Talib.

Darussalam
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Nasai also reported it in Al-Kubra, no. 8157, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same chain. Hafiz declared it sahih in Fath al-Bari, 7/76, and Hakim declared it to meet the criteria of Bukhari, 30/209, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
