Abu Hurairah reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw Jafar flying in Paradise with the angels."He said, this is a strange hadith from the narrations of Abu Hurairah. We know it only through the report of Abdullah bin Jafar, whom Yahya bin Main and others have considered weak. This Abdullah bin Jafar is the father of Ali bin al-Madini.

Hasanحدثنا علي بن حجر أخبرنا عبد الله بن جعفر عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه
عن أبي هريرة قال
قال رسول الله ﷺ رأيت جعفرا يطير في الجنة مع الملائكة قال هذا حديث غريب من حديث أبي هريرة لا نعرفه إلا من حديث عبد الله بن جعفر وقد ضعفه يحيى بن معين وغيره وعبد الله بن جعفر هو والد علي بن المديني
Hasan. Hakim also narrated it (3/209) through the hadith of Abdullah bin Jafar bin Najee Madini with this wording, and he graded it sahih, but Dhahabi said, "Madini is weak." Nasr bin Hajib corroborated him, as recorded by Ibn Hibban (Ihsan): 7007. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, no. 3708, and Hakim (3/212), and others.On this topic there is also a narration from Ibn Abbas [Hakim: 3/209].
