The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Your affair is among the things that concern me after I am gone, and none will be patient with you except the patient ones."Ayesha would then say, "May Allah give your father to drink from Salsabil in Paradise," meaning Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, who had given the wives of the Prophet ﷺ a gift of property said to have been sold for forty thousand. He said, this is a hasan sahih gharib hadith.
Citation. [Its chain is hasan.] Ahmad narrated it in 6/77 from the hadith of Bakr bin Mudar with the same wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (no. 2216), and so did Hakim, who said it met the criteria of Bukhari and Muslim (3/312). Dhahabi said, "Sakhr is truthful, though the two of them did not narrate from him."
