Jabir bin Abdullah reported,
A funeral bier of a man was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that he might pray over him, but he did not pray over him.It was said, "Messenger of Allah, we have never seen you decline to pray over anyone before this."He replied, "He used to hate Uthman, so Allah hated him."

عن جابر قال
أتي رسول الله ﷺ بجنازة رجل ليصلي عليه فلم يصل عليه فقيل يا رسول الله ما رأيناك تركت الصلاة على أحد قبل هذا قال إنه كان يبغض عثمان فأبغضه الله

[Its chain is fabricated]. Sahmi related it in Tarikh Jurjan, p. 100, no. 77, and Ibn Adi at 2143/6, from the hadith of Uthman bin Zafar, through the same route. Abu Hatim said, "This is a munkar hadith" (Ilal al-Hadith: 1087).Muhammad bin Ziyad Tahhan, they declared him a liar (Taqrib), and Ahmad said, "A wicked, one-eyed liar, who fabricates hadith."
