Abdul-Rahman bin Samura reported,

Uthman came to the Prophet ﷺ with a thousand Dinars. Hasan bin Waqi said that in another place in my book it stated, "in his sleeve," at the time when he was equipping the Army of Hardship, and he poured them into his lap.Abdul-Rahman said, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ turning them over in his lap and saying, 'Nothing Uthman does after this day will harm him,' twice."

عن عبد الرحمن بن سمرة قال

جاء عثمان إلى النبي ﷺ بألف دينار قال الحسن بن واقع وكان في موضع آخر من كتابي في كمه حين جهز جيش العسرة فينثرها في حجره قال عبد الرحمن فرأيت النبي ﷺ يقلبها في حجره ويقول ما ضر عثمان ما عمل بعد اليوم مرتين
