The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man from the people of Paradise will appear before you now." Then Abu Bakr appeared.He then said, "A man from the people of Paradise will appear before you now." Then Umar appeared.
حدثنا محمد بن حميد حدثنا عبد الله بن عبد القدوس حدثنا الأعمش عن عمرو بن مرة عن عبد الله بن سلمة عن عبيدة السلماني
أن النبي ﷺ قال يطلع عليكم رجل من أهل الجنة فاطلع أبو بكر ثم قال يطلع عليكم رجل من أهل الجنة فاطلع عمر
[Its chain is daif] Muhammad bin Humayd is daif, and Abdullah bin Abdul-Quddus was declared daif by the majority, and he was a vile Rafidi. Sharik the judge followed him in narrating it (Tabarani, no. 206, though the chain to him is daif), and Amash narrated with an ambiguous form indicating he did not hear it directly. Despite this, Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of Muslim, 3/73, and Dhahabi agreed with him (!)There is also a report on this subject from Abu Musa [coming at 3710] and Jabir [Ahmad, 3/356, 380, 381, 387].
