Its chain of transmission is daif. Tabarani related it, 54/1, hadith 9, from the hadith of Ishaq bin Yahya through the same route. It has daif corroborating narrations found in Ibn Hibban, hadith 2171, and Hakim, 61/3, and others. Hakim went to excess, saying, "This is a baseless hadith."
