The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make this supplication, "O Allah, let me benefit from my hearing and my sight, and make them remain with me until I die. Grant me victory over those who wrong me, and take revenge from them on my behalf."
حدثنا يحيى بن موسى أخبرنا جابر بن نوح قال أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
كان رسول الله ﷺ يدعو فيقول اللهم متعني بسمعي وبصري واجعلهما الوارث مني وانصرني على من يظلمني وخذ منه بثأري
Hasan. Bukhari also reported it in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 650, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr with this chain, and Hakim graded it sahih in 1/523 and 2/12, according to the standard of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him. A group of narrators also reported it from Muhammad bin Amr with this chain.
