The Prophet ﷺ wiped his head and his ears, both their outer and inner surfaces.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن محمد بن عجلان عن زيد بن أسلم عن عطاء بن يسار
أن النبي ﷺ مسح برأسه وأذنيه ظاهرهما وباطنهما
Sourcing, [Sahih] Ibn Majah also reported it in the Book of Purification, chapter on what has been said about wiping the ears, hadith no. 439, from the hadith of Ibn Idris with the same wording. It also has another route through Zayd bin Aslam found in Bukhari, hadith no. 140, in full length.
