When death was approaching him, he said, "I would not have concealed from you something I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Were it not that you commit sins, Allah would have created a creation that would sin and then He would forgive them.'"

حين حضرته الوفاة قد كتمت عنكم شيئا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لولا أنكم تذنبون لخلق الله خلقا يذنبون ويغفر لهم
