The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah rejoices more at the Tawba of one of you than one of you rejoices at finding his lost property."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ لله أفرح بتوبة أحدكم من أحدكم بضالته إذا وجدها
Muslim also narrated it in "Tawbah," chapter on encouraging repentance and rejoicing in it, hadith no. 2675, after hadith no. 2743, from the hadith of Mughira bin Abdul-Rahman with the same wording.On this subject there are also narrations from Ibn Masud [Bukhari, no. 6308], Numan bin Bashir [Muslim, no. 2745], and Anas [Bukhari, no. 6309 and Muslim, no. 2747].
