Muaz bin Jabal reported,

The Prophet ﷺ heard a man supplicating, saying, "Allah, I ask You for the completion of blessing."The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What is the completion of blessing?"The man replied, "It is a prayer I made, hoping thereby for good."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Part of the completion of blessing is entering Paradise and being saved from the Fire."He also heard a man saying, "Possessor of Majesty and Honor."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Your prayer has been answered, so ask."And the Prophet ﷺ heard a man saying, "Allah, I ask You for patience."He said, "You have asked Allah for affliction, so ask Him instead for well-being."Ahmad bin Manee narrated to us, Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us, from Jareeri, with this chain of transmission, something similar. This is a good hadith.

عن معاذ بن جبل قال

سمع النبي ﷺ رجلا يدعو يقول اللهم إني أسألك تمام النعمة فقال أي شيء تمام النعمة قال دعوة دعوت بها أرجو بها الخير قال فإن من تمام النعمة دخول الجنة والفوز من النار وسمع رجلا وهو يقول يا ذا الجلال والإكرام فقال قد استجيب لك فسل وسمع النبي ﷺ رجلا وهو يقول اللهم إني أسألك الصبر فقال سألت الله البلاء فسله العافية حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم عن الجريري بهذا الإسناد نحوه هذا حديث حسن
