I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever retires to his bed in a state of purity, remembering Allah until drowsiness overtakes him, will not turn over at any hour of the night and ask Allah for something of the good of this world or the next without Allah granting it to him."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من أوى إلى فراشه طاهرا يذكر الله حتى يدركه النعاس لم ينقلب ساعة من الليل يسأل الله شيئا من خير الدنيا والآخرة إلا أعطاه إياه

Its isnad is daif.Takhrij: Tabarani narrated it in 8/147, 7568, and Ibn Sunni, no. 719, from the hadith of Ismail bin Ayyash, with the same wording, and he explicitly stated hearing it directly. However, this is from his narration on the authority of the Hijazis, which is daif. Part of the hadith has corroborating evidence (see Targheeb wal-Tarheeb 1/409 and elsewhere). The hadith of Shahr bin Hawshab is found in Ahmad, 4/113, with different wording, and it is a hasan hadith.
