The Prophet ﷺ, whenever he intended to undertake a matter, would say, "O Allah, choose what is best for me and select for me."

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Baghawi narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah, 4/155, no. 1017, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same wording, and Hafiz declared it daif in Fath al-Bari, and Zanfal bin Abdullah is daif (Taqrib).
