Hammad said, "In our view this is a marfu narration." Regarding "The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds" [Mutaffifin 83:6], he said, "They will stand in sweat reaching up to the middle of their ears."
حدثنا يحيى بن درست البصري حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن أيوب عن نافع
حماد هو عندنا مرفوع {يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين} قال يقومون في الرشح إلى أنصاف آذانهم
Source. This hadith is agreed upon. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Paradise and Its Bliss, in the chapter on the description of the Day of Resurrection, may Allah help us against its terrors, hadith no. 2862, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, and Bukhari narrated it, hadith no. 4938, from the hadith of Nafi, with similar wording.
