The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people on the day of the conquest of Mecca, saying, "People, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the Days of Ignorance and its boasting in ancestors. People are of two kinds, a righteous, God-fearing believer who is honored before Allah, and a wicked, wretched sinner who is insignificant before Allah. All people are the children of Adam, and Allah created Adam from dust. Allah has said, 'People, We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Aleem, All-Aware' [Hujurat 49:13]."
