Regarding the verse, "And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty" [Hujurat 49:7], he said, "This is your Prophet ﷺ, to whom revelation comes, and the best of your leaders. If he were to obey them in much of the matter, they would fall into hardship. So how about you today?"
حدثنا عبد بن حميد حدثنا عثمان بن عمر عن المستمر بن الريان عن أبي نضرة قال قرأ
{واعلموا أن فيكم رسول الله لو يطيعكم في كثير من الأمر لعنتم} قال هذا نبيكم ﷺ يوحى إليه وخيار أئمتكم لو أطاعهم في كثير من الأمر لعنتوا فكيف بكم اليوم
