An Arabi asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the Trumpet?"He replied, "A horn into which a blast is blown."He said, this is a good hadith. We only know it through the narration of Sulayman Taymi.
حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم أخبرنا سليمان التيمي عن أسلم العجلي عن بشر بن شغاف
قال أعرابي يا رسول الله ما الصور قال قرن ينفخ فيه قال هذا حديث حسن إنما نعرفه من حديث سليمان التيمي
[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Sunnah, the chapter on the mention of Bath and the Horn, no. 4722, from the hadith of Sulayman Taymi through this route, see also no. 2430. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 2570, as did Hakim, 2/506, 4/560, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
